All my life, I have felt like an outsider like I never belonged anywhere. I was S.A. by my grandfather, cousin, and so called friend of my parents. I was raped in high school, at fifteen years old, I almost lost my daddy, I got hit by a drunk driver and almost lost use of my legs I was beaten so badly at the age of 18, by my first husband and lost two pregnancy because of those beatings, was told I would never have children because of the beatings. The last relationship I was in was with an addict, he would beat me and he even stab me. My whole life I heard people talk about God and how much he loves us and he is always there when you need him, I didn’t believe that. I was like if he is real and he cares how could he allow everything that has happened to me happen. I was 19 when I had my first child, 20 with my second one and I stared to think maybe there is a God, then 22 years old I had my third baby at five months and one day of pregnancy. I almost lost her so I went back to thinking maybe God hates me or just doesn’t care about me. Then God put Chris back into my life and without even trying, him and his family helped me heal, they showed me, my daughter and my grandbabies love, welcomed us into their family with open arms. My mother in law and Aunt asked me and my husband to come to church with them one Sunday, and I am not going to lie, I was thinking to myself I will go once and I will find reasons not go anymore. That didn’t happen. God used NBC, Pastor Danny, Sister Renee and the women’s ministry to keep me in church. Now looking back over 20+ years of my life, I realize that I was never alone, that God was with me through everything good and bad. He never left me, I left him. I truly believe that everything I went through was made to break me, but God used it to make me stronger.
